Our visit to TALAKAD - 4

I found this piece of architecture to be most amazing in whole of Talakad. This signifies the name of the king Nagakundala -- there is naga (snake) and kundala (rings). Initially there were 4 kundalas but now only two remain... made from one piece of stone, isn't this grand......












This is the personification of the Lord Shiva's Nandi bull. On closely looking, one can see the face of Nandi bull on the stomach of this statue on the wall.














The main temple in Talakad is the Vaidyanatheswara Temple. Excavation work is still going on as can be seen in this pic.
